The selection process includes a series of physical, psychological and medical examinations. Once this stage is passed, the applicant must take an intensive training course for two years, which includes living for a while in the academy. Applicants must train for two years in the Higher Institute of Public Security (ISSP) that depends on the Ministry of Justice and Security of the City. During those two semesters they will stay at their facilities located in Parque Avellaneda, which have the capacity for 2,000 people.
