More than 250 “desperate” students due to the unexpected closure of a Buenos Aires school days before the start of classes

Less than a month from beginning of the 2023 school year in the City of Buenos Airesa group of parents was surprised after the untimely announcement of the Nuevo Horizonte school closure. Among those affected, there would be 50 students with some type of disability

“There are people who are on vacation and are entering at this time who do not have school”questioned a woman, who took the opportunity to express to the media the despair suffered by families since they were notified of the closure.

“We are all desperate parents, we don’t know how to ask for help. We don’t know what the City Government can do. We don’t know how to stop this situation.”expressed one of the mothers who spoke with Tennessee.

“At least give us some time, They cannot notify us yesterday that they are going to close. And the boys, where are they going to go?added, while saving a solution with close relatives of 250 students who are in an identical situation.

“Our option is not to change them, but to fight for this school. That the boys can continue going to a school that contains, supports and includes them, that has proposals for everyone”, explained the mother, especially sensitive to the situation of some 50 students who suffer from some type of disability.

“We have no money,” the woman continued. “We can’t go out looking because no one has a vacancy. How do we explain to the kids that they don’t have school today? we are asking psychological assistance In order to explain the situation well to the children, please do something,” she begged.

The response of the Buenos Aires government
