YPF informed this Tuesday that his network, made up of more than 1,600 service stations throughout the country, will continue to accept payment by credit card, since to date no problems with that method of payment.
“The entire network of YPF service stations has the benefit of advance accreditation of card operations visa and mastercard”, said the official statement of the company.
“This situation allows operators receive accreditation within 48 business hoursand in addition, they have a subsidized transaction fee of 1.3% within the framework of an agreement between YPF and the data processing company.

The company is also safe the profitability of service station operators and it makes it easier for its customers to buy fuel through the acceptance of all payment methods, among other benefits.”
The announcement comes at a time when the Confederation of Hydrocarbons and Related Trade Entities of the Argentine Republic (CECHA) claim that the accreditation terms and commissions set by credit card issuers do not suit them.
In this sense, the entity requires that the amount impact within 48 to 72 hours and in turn, review the commission they charge for sales operated at service stations, where together with taxes they reach 1.5 to 1.8%.
What about the rest of the service stations?
The business chambers that bring together service stations from all over the country will meet on February 9 to define if they continue to accept payment of fuel by credit card.

We are very concerned, because with credit card payments we have to wait between 10 and 15 days for the money to be refunded. Likewise, Lego added that the position taken by YPF in this regard will not influence the decision take the other service stations.
