The mayor of the Santa Fe city of Rufino, Natalio Lattanzifire assaulted by trade unionists and demonstrators during a protest at the entrance of the Municipality.
Lattanzi received blows to the face and body from several protesters at the entrance to the building, when they intercepted and rebuked him, in the framework of a claim for salary improvements.
The situation between the trade unionists and the community chief had heated up in recent days, since this Wednesday there were three days of Unemployment due to demands for salary increasesin addition to the lack of family allowances and conflicts related to the provincial social work.

As can be seen in various films from the moment of the attack, Lattanzi is approached by a group of protesters, who first corner him and insult him. Then they throw water at him and then proceed to push and hit him.
The situation ended when the communal chief was helped by security personnel and municipal workers to gain entry to the building, while the protesters continue throwing stones against the facade.
“I was doing other activities and when I entered the Municipality some union representatives greeted me, but suddenly I began to receive insults and pushes, they threw water at me and then the punches began,” Lattanzi explained in statements to local media, and maintained that he was “sore”.
And he added: “Far from being scared, we are going to sustain the culture of work and he who does not work does not get paid. There are people asking for work, there are job losses and these people, who should have the institutional responsibility to see how the issue is resolved, are making the situation worse, since Rufino is a municipality that has been improving substantially in the move to the plant permanent”.

The episode was repudiated by the PRO of the province of Santa Fe and by the candidate for governor and national senator carolina losada.
“I regret and repudiate the acts of violence against the mayor of Rufino @LattanziNatalio and I stand in solidarity. I will not tolerate squeezing or violence as governor in my province,” said Losada.
