With the sentence of six years in prison for fraudulent administration and disqualification from holding public office, Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner saves for the day after March 9, when her lawyers will have the opportunity to take advantage of that decision of the Oral Court Number 2 and that later it will remain in the hands of Cassation to confirm or reverse that penalty.
However, some processes already scheduled are awaited and others that could start in the middle of a year of presidential elections whose protagonists stomp on the political scene on the side of the ruling party. One of them is the current senator Oscar Parrilli.
Exchange house. This same week Oral Court Number 7 resumed the debate against the former Secretary General of the Presidency Oscar Parrilli, accused of defrauding the State together with Katya Daura, former head of the Mint, and four other former officials for printing the book La decade won, that never came out.
In the same process, Daura’s criminal responsibility is being investigated for having used 7 million pesos (also from the Mint) to buy a satellite tracking system for his cars and hiring security for his home.
The trial is going through the declaration stage of the last third of witnesses, of which it is estimated that it could end in mid-March to give way to the arguments, the last words of the defendants and the verdict.
Antonini Wilson’s suitcase. On March 8, the Criminal and Economic Oral Court Number 1 will begin the trial for the income of 790,550 dollars that the Venezuelan-American businessman Guido Alejandro Antonini Wilson brought on a private flight hired by Enarsa and that was detected by the Security Police Airport at the Aeroparque Metropolitano in August 2007.
Although Antonini Wilson is considered a fugitive from Argentine Justice, within the framework of this file, the former Minister of Planning Julio de Vido, the former head of the Occovi, Claudio Uberti, and the former federal administrator of Public Revenue Ricardo Echegaray, who in recent weeks had a setback from Justice, which rejected a prescription statement in the case.
Skanska. In the case initiated in 2004 and which 14 years later was sent to trial, the crimes of “fraudulent administration and bribery” are investigated with Julio De Vido and his former number two, José López, as the main defendants along with 29 other people,
This is the first major cause of corruption involving Kirchnerism in a gas pipeline expansion project. The Swedish firm Skanska allegedly paid millions of bribes to ensure the construction of two gas pipelines, and to conceal this maneuver allegedly used apocryphal invoices. Judicial sources affirmed that this file in the hands of the Oral Court Number 4 would begin before the end of the first half of 2023.
Marcelo D’Alessio and another trial for extortion. In August 2021, the false lawyer was sentenced by Oral Court Number 2 to four years in prison for trying to extort customs broker Gabriel Traficante, from whom he had asked for a large sum of money so that, through alleged contacts in Justice, will separate him from the cause known as “the mafia of the contenders.”
However, D’Alessio may be tried this year for the same crime, when he sought to extort the agricultural businessman Pedro Etchebest.
This occurs after the Chamber of Cassation, upon ratifying the extension of his detention, demanded that the Oral Court Number 8 start the trial in four months; Prior to this, the court must establish the evidence that will be analyzed in the debate and that must be proven by the parties.
