The operator of Edesur, Enel Argentinatook the first step to withdraw their businesses from the country by selling its generation assets to Central Puerto.
Enel broke away, for US$102 millionfrom 75.7% of the Central Generación Costanera and 41.2% of the Group in the thermal generation company Central Dock Sud to Central Puerto.
The main shareholders of Central Puerto are Carlos Miguens Bemberg (former owner of Quilmes), Guillermo Reca, lthe Escasany family (one of the shareholders of Banco Galicia) and the Ruete Aguirre brothers (former Banco Roberts).
