“Resentment, hatred and revenge are not good advisers, they lead people to commit mistakes and injustices. Those who hold public office adopt these positions, if they are good men they apologize or move away from the function, until they recover the necessary balance to exercise it ”, the letter from the military says in a passage.

They also claimed their role in the Falklands War and the combat of the table during what happened the administration of Raul Alfonsin. For Soloaga’s comrades, “clearly there is no apology for terrorism, no gratitude, no judgment or adjectives to interpret in one way or another.” And they added thatthe harangue does not carry a critical opinion but a pious message towards “the prisoner that must be visited”; to avoid suspicion, it is not even stated that they fulfilled ordered functions, only that they fulfilled functions”.

That is why they called for “harmony, for the appeasement of the spirits of those who were still tied to the past confrontations between Argentines, approaching the future from a frank perspective of history, to get closer to the truth, to in order to judge the past and its protagonists fairly, based on such a basic, old, and forgotten principle of equality before the law”.
