Quinteros: “It is a mortal sin for a mayor to look the other way with drug trafficking”

Quinteros: “It is a mortal sin for a mayor to look the other way with drug trafficking”

“It is a mortal sin for a mayor to side with drug trafficking,” said Juan Pablo Quinteros, mayoral candidate for the “Somos Córdoba” space. The current councilor increased his economic and security proposals (which were formally presented next Monday), although he advanced some aspects.

“It is a truly innovative proposal: we propose the municipalization of the Police. This does not mean creating a parallel force, ”he explained and downplayed the fact that Rodrigo De Loredo had announced a similar idea (the transfer of 10,000 agents from the provincial orbit to the municipal one).

Quinteros revealed that one of the central aspects of his security-related proposals will be drug trafficking. “In the previous elections, when he was also a candidate, he already stated that there cannot be a mayor who looks to the side of drug trafficking and insecurity. It is a mortal sin, especially if he expects the Governor to solve a problem that is with his neighbors, ”he said in ‘With the Monday newspaper’ (Monday at 8:00 p.m. on Channel 10).

And he added: “Four years have been lost in the fight against this problem,” while maintaining that “he is not afraid of the issue.”

The campaign for the municipal elections began, so the program Con el diario del lunes will determine in depth the different candidates and their proposals. In this framework, he invited Juan Pablo Quinteros, who aspires to become mayor of the Capital for Somos Córdoba.

In addition, Quinteros presented his economic plan with a public intervention in the center of the city, “showing the people of Cordoba how they waste money, because fortunes are spent on things that are not necessary. For example, in advertising paraphernalia of a management with resources that could have been put at the service of the people”.

Regarding what he will do in case of arriving at the 6 de Julio Palace, he announced that he will attack the tax pressure, considering it suffocating: “A concrete proposal is to lower municipal taxes by 20%, up to 30% when we see the numbers, and a zero rate for two years for businesses and industries that settled in Córdoba and produced employment”.

Quinteros maintained that he does not have “political sponsorships”, as in the case of the two main candidates (Passerini and De Loredo). “People vote more for the person than for the parties, the stamps pull less. I seek the vote of those who seek coherence and a candidate with proposals that he can explain, I can do it with each one. The voter is looking for a candidate whom he believes, and there are fewer and fewer people to believe, ”he concluded.
