Both Seasons of the Dance Reality Series Netflix Original Title baby ballroom are scheduled to leave Netflix globally (excluding the UK) in July 2023 as their rights are renewed.
Produced in Britain, two seasons of the reality series were produced tracing the cutthroat world of children’s ballroom dancing over the course of 15 episodes. The series followed ambitious instructors, proud parents, and pint-sized performers who waltzed to win. The dance studio on which the show is centered, The Zig Zag Dance Factory, founded in 1994 by Warren Bullock and Jane Phillips, continues to operate today.
Channel 5 aired the series in the UK in April 2017 and 2018, with Netflix. pulling out the exclusive global rights in 2018, releasing season 1 on February 1, 2018, and season two a few months later on July 10, 2018.

The show will now expire in its entirety on Netflix on July 11, 2023, with his last day to see him being July 10.
Netflix in the UK eventually licensed the series in its entirety (albeit notably without any Netflix Original branding) and will be keeping the series going for at least another year. Our data suggests that both seasons of baby ballroom will leave Netflix UK on June 4, 2024.
Because it is baby ballroom leaving Netflix?
As we’ve covered numerous times, Netflix Originals doesn’t necessarily mean that Netflix owns the show indefinitely. Instead, this was what we refer to as an acquisition, albeit exclusively.
In recent years, dozens of Netflix Originals have been removed from the platform. That trend will continue even with some of Netflix’s biggest hits like ozark, Orange is the new black and even Lucifer, potentially leaving in the next few years.
Since the show is pretty low profile, we don’t expect any other streaming platform to pick it up, which means it will be impossible to watch in most countries after its removal from Netflix.
