During the afternoon, Torres presented his resignation in a letter signed before the Electoral Tribunal of the Province clarifying that it was for “strictly personal” reasons. In the communication printed on a sheet without a letterhead, the leader states that “by means of this letter I am writing to you in order to renounce my candidacy as Legislator Holder number 37 (Single District) of the list Hacemos Unidos por Córdoba, for strictly personal reasons. A few minutes later, the authorities of the Hacemos Unidos por Córdoba coalition came out to explain. According to a statement delivered to Perfil.com/cordoba, “they demanded the resignation of the candidate for legislator located in place 37 on the list for the Single District, Andrés Torres, upon learning of alleged criminal acts that occurred several years ago.”
“We have a list of candidates of a high representative level of all the forces that make up the Coalition, with experience, work, honesty and fidelity to the Cordoba project. We will not allow anything to generate the slightest stain, our objective of progress and contributions of ideas from the Legislature is serious and responsible before the people of Cordoba ”, he expressed.
