Belgrano beat River with a lethal Vegetti and an impeccable Losada

From minor to major. Knowing limitations and virtues. Being realistic. Taking risks with his style. This is how Belgrano played. Accompanied by a crowd at the Mario Aberto Kempes stadium, who vibrated the 90 minutes and put on a party in the first match of the ‘Pirata’ in the Professional League in Córdoba.

The ‘Celeste’ played a great game, had very high points such as Pablo Vegetti, Nahuel Losada and Sebastián Longo. And he beat River 2-1, without discussion, on the second date of the Professional League.

The “Give him the B, give him the B!”, resounded in the stadium before, during and after. Belgrano is already in First Division and is already giving people something to talk about.

The first half gave us interesting moments from the start. Because the ‘Pirate’ game scheme was clear: 5-4-1. At 5 minutes River broke that defensive structure. The defense stop remained, and before that break that Borja knew how to take advantage of, he gave it to Solari, but Nahuel Losada appeared with a tremendous save. A second later it was agreed that this play was disabled because the Colombian attacker was offside. And, after 8 minutes, Borja again got between the line of 5, defined, goal. And again flag up. Call of attention for the ‘B’. Because the line of 5 seemed very rigid, and when he stepped forward he was left vulnerable. In addition, both plays -well sanctioned- were very fine.

That attributes to those of Farré to be more attentive. They adjusted brands and times. And beyond the fact that at 32 minutes Solari from Chile made the stadium shake with another “uhhh”, because a save by Losada appeared, Belgrano was already another on the pitch.

handsome. Never give up a ball. battle. That’s what it’s about. At minute 37 those virtues emerged in those led by Guillermo Farré and crowned the opening of the scoring. Ulises Sánchez fought without quarter, won, gave it to Rojas who executed a precise cross for Pablo Vegetti, and the lone scorer beat Casco with his body, desire and self-esteem, and did his job: goal. Belgrano took the lead due to Vegetti’s offensive potential and his desire to belong to Ulises Sánchez.

A first half in which Celeste was victorious as a result of the great work of Losada, Logo, Sánchez and Vegetti. Four fundamental pillars for resistance and goal.

The complement began, again, with River looking to be the protagonist, although without clear certainties, because Belgrano neutralized with a Longo in stellar mode before cut and relief.

At 14 minutes another huge save by Nahuel Losada, this time to Borja after a great play by Paradela on the right.

And at 21 Belgrano “repeated himself”. And the Kempes experienced a madness in the stands after that action.

Once again Ulises Sánchez slapped her, once again he gave way to Rojas, he again looked for Vegetti and the scorer once again finished off. Goal. Belgrano 2-River 0. Belgrano, effective, came twice with the same formula and scored two goals. Soccer and its moments; football sports madness so full of sensations… both on the pitch and in the stands.

With more self-esteem than with a game, River went out to look to turn the situation around. Demichelis made changes. He threw all the meat on the spit. And, at 35 minutes, he discounted the ‘Millionaire’ with a pass into the net from ‘Nacho’ Fernández. River’s version was not good, but the goal gave him a spirited envoy. He touched pride.

The last minutes had Belgrano resisting. Pulling from above, pulling from below. Firm, concentrated. River looking unclearly. The ‘Pirate’ banking with pride. And a phenomenal Losada, who at 49′ once again had a great save.

Belgrano won. Once again Belgrano beat River. Kempes dressed as in their best clothes and Farré’s ‘Pirata’ is undefeated in the Argentine soccer elite: two players, a draw and a victory.
