a 27-year-old woman was shot in the back of the head while her 8-year-old son was looking at the scene. The victim was identified as Verónica González and the main suspect in the femicide is her partner, 30-year-old Brian Baigorria.
The crime occurred at the young woman’s house, in Garzón at 6800 González Catán. According to her youngest, everything happened when, in the middle of an argument, her boyfriend shot her dead.
According to police sources, the victim’s father was alerted by another of his daughters and went to Verónica’s house where he encountered the tragedy. While, The boy was left alone with the body until his grandfather and the police arrived.. The 8-year-old boy told his aunt that after the argument, Brian Baigorria attacked his mother and ran away.
The victim, Verónica González, was the mother of two boys, the 8-year-old boy who witnessed the femicide and an older girl who was with her father at the time of the crime.
The police search for the fugitive Baigorria while the Scientific Police continue with the corresponding expert reports. As is known, the victim presented a simple view of a shot from a firearm in the back of the head, in the nape of the neck. The autopsy of González’s body found that the woman had been killed with a single shot to her skull.
Brian Baigorria has an arrest warrant
The alleged femicide identified as 30-year-old Brian Alexis Baigorria is on the run and has an arrest warrant national and international published by the homicide prosecutor of La Matanza, Karina Licalzi. The man, who already has a history of robbery and resistance in 2011, called his family on the phone and told them that “something had happened to him” and then hung up and ran away.
